We have been cottagers for 30 years and have always cherished our weekends, holidays, and vacations at our island/boat-access-only cottages. We have owned this beautiful 48-acre parcel for 28 years. Five years ago, my wife and I decided it was finally time to build our new cottage right beside our existing bunkie. Over the years, we have learned a great deal about what makes cottage life enjoyable and convenient in every season. With that in mind, we designed and built this cottage to be comfortable and easy to use year-round. It is fully insulated, with a heated water line buried underground and all water connections running through the fully insulated washroom. A dedicated fan heater automatically maintains the washroom above freezing, helping protect the plumbing during the winter months. Every effort has been made to simplify winter use and minimize the need for professional assistance with winterization.
